View the House of Representatives from the Speaker’s Gallery
Location: Guides will meet you in the Capitol Rotunda to lead you to the entrance to the Speaker’s Gallery.

The Speaker’s Gallery is reserved for special guests and provides an exceptional view of the House Chambers. The House schedule is variable, but you may have an opportunity to see lawmakers in action. Seating is limited to 30 people.


Tour Your Magnificent Capitol Building
Led by the office of the Architect of the Capitol
Location: Meet in the Capitol Rotunda

This is a rare opportunity to hear about the recent and future renovations to our Capitol as well as a get a little history lesson.

To guarantee an amazing experience, the tour group is limited to 15 people. Wear your walking shoes and bring your coat, if weather permits, the tour may head outdoors for a portion of the program.

Lightning Talks
Location: Capitol Building, 402A

Meet influential leaders who do their jobs “under the dome,” 5 minutes at a time. Speakers will provide you with their rapid-fire take on what they do. You’ll hear from a Director of a State Agency, Executive Director for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum, a Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs and others. (limit 25)

On Your Own

Feel free to roam the Capitol and take in all this spectacular building has to offer from art work and architecture to a fabulous coffee bar on the 2nd floor. Meet back in the first floor Rotunda by 1:50 p.m. A guide will walk the group over to the Capitol Complex Visitors Center for the 2:15 p.m. Own Your Power presentation.
